NEW Employee Self-Service Site

We’re happy to introduce our NEW Employee Self Service Site. Through this site, your employees can download their Summary of Benefits & Coverage and Guide to Benefits. They can also update their address and name changes. They can even request new or duplicated Health Plan Membership Cards.

We made this site to help reduce the administrative tasks. You can download a flyer with QR codes that you can post at your business for your employees to see.

As the employer, you will still have access to the secured member website. Your password for this secured site can be found on your monthly invoices.

KIAA Supports HB 499 - Lease Extensions on Public Lands

HB499.png

KIAA is in support of HB 499. While we understand that there is opposition to this bill becoming law, we believe that HB 499 is crucial in allowing businesses to survive and thrive in our community.

By allowing lessees of public lands to apply for extensions to their leases, businesses would be able to secure financing to invest in their properties, ensure the long-term maintenance of public lands and continue to generate much-needed revenue for the state. Many of these businesses have already had to make sacrifices due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are barely scraping by as is. Without extensions, they would be forced to close and join the growing number of local businesses that have been forced out of business.

This affects Hilo and the Big Island in particular because many businesses are sitting on public land leased from the state. If these businesses are not allowed to extend their leases, their long-term viability will be called into question and there is a real possibility that we could lose some of the small businesses who have helped Hilo thrive for the past 60 years.

KIAA and the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce submitted a letter of support for HB 499 to Governor Ige. A copy of the letter can be found by following the link below.

KIAA's Medicare Advocate Program (MAP)

We’re happy to announce a new program designed to help your company and your employees with Medicare. This program is offered through a partnership with KIAA, Premiere Benefit Consultants, and HMSA and is designed to help you and your employees navigate the intricacies of Medicare.

This program was developed to educate and assist our members and their employees with Medicare. Specifically, for those employees about to turn 65, or for those getting ready to retire. We want you to have the information you need to make the right decisions.

To kick off this new KIAA program, we will be hosting a YouTube LIVE (details above) to introduce you to KIAA’s Medicare Advocate, Leilani Soliven, and to give you the basics of Medicare.

We also want to know if you have any questions about Medicare. You can follow the link below and submit our questions. We will respond to your questions during our YouTube LIVE presentation.
